Starting in 2017 the El Sistema Sweden Foundation offers education, in-service training and new research about El Sistema. Music teachers from all over Europe – in culture-schools, schools and pre-schools – are invited to three days of learning at the El Sistema Academy in Stockholm to learn more about the methodology, pedagogy, and repertoire of El Sistema.
With outstanding teachers and conductors from Venezuela and Sweden, such as Ron Davis Alvarez, Birgitta Mannerström-Molin and Josbel Puche, the El Sistema Academy 2017 offered workshops within three focuses: orchestra, choir and paper orchestra.
